Captive North presents the hottest LIVE band competition in the North West

Captive Music will be the first live “battle of the bands” in what the organisers, Captive North intend will become a regular annual event. On Friday 12th October, five of the most talented bands in the North West will battle against each other to be crowned the best of the North West in musical talent, at 53 Degrees in Preston. The prize is a coveted professional music video produced by Captive North, who work for some of the biggest names in the television and film industry, including the BBC.

The 5 bands/musicians, David Shurr, Gold from Stone, Hide the Evidence, Montego Bay and The Hotspur Press, were chosen by a series of online web votes.

The guest judges at this event will make their decision based on stage presence, crowd reaction and musical talent. In addition to the guest judges, a number of talent spotters and at least one music management company have confirmed they will be in attendance, looking for the next big thing!

Along with the live battle there will be a live DJ and prizes for the audience. Expect a festival atmosphere in Lancashire’s premiere venue with 5 of the biggest upcoming musical talents in the North West.

Captive Music, organised by Captive North has been made possible thanks to the support from sponsors Hey Bert Studios, Passion 4 Events and +24 Marketing.

Tickets are limited and can be bought online at www.lancashiretickets.com for £10 + Booking fee or via UCLAN Student Union for £7. Doors open 6.30pm making it the perfect place to start your Friday night.
